RIRI PLAYHOUSE MUSICAL PRODUCTIONS

RiRi’s non-profit Playhouse is bringing back their summer workshop to the Future Stars of Houston for the development of youth aspiring to be future stars in theater and film. This three-week workshop (July 10th thru 28th 2023) will include an original theater production where every student plays a role. Children will have the opportunity to shine on the stage, behind the curtains, or wherever their unique and special gifts brightly shine. For three entire, action-packed weeks, the ‘future stars’ attend fun and engaging classes led by industry experts in both film and stage. The workshops will include script and song writing, acting & music classes, set design, filming, costume, dancing, sound engineering, and editing classes for an original or adapted theater production that students will perform at the end of the workshop. Showcasing all aspects of the theater! This will be either live or filmed and will be presented to family and friends as the grand finale. There will also be an award show at the end where every student is recognized for their individual and collaborative contribution.

Our mission for the summer workshop is to expose any child, regardless of their socio economic background or status, to the world of theater arts. We do this by making available, scholarships to children that are experiencing financial insecurities and unable to afford the three-week workshop.
