Telford “Jaytel” Birmingham II is a Vocal Producer and Arranger who also specializes in Vocal Style Coaching. Jaytel’s vocal coaching technique focuses on enhancing the singer’s vocal style and character performance. He has worked with many talented singers that you may have heard and has been a part of Grammy, Dove, and Stellar award winning albums. Jaytel takes pride in developing singer’s ability to go above and beyond vocally with confidence. As he likes to say, “The sky is the foundation. There aren’t any limits.”

Ksenia studied piano since the age of 6 and received her musical education in Russia. After moving to the US she started learning about different approaches in teaching piano and fell in love with Suzuki Philosophy method, had earned the certifications of the Suzuki teaching and incorporated it with the traditional method, which was a great success!
But that was not enough for Ksenia. She wanted to learn more ways to have the most effective teaching possible. She continued her studies and became a certified life coach to give her students the right support, tools and motivation in reaching their goals in music.
Since that Ksenia taught hundreds of students, with the ages ranging from 6 month to 70 years old. Her main goal is not just to teach you how to read notes and to play the instrument, but to introduce you to the beautiful world of music, encourage and support you in the process, provide you with necessary learning tools and let you experience all the benefits of learning and playing piano
Caiya has trained Classical Ballet since the age of 3 and began her circus training at the age of 16 with an emphasis on Contortion. During her early teen years she was involved in musical theatre and has performed for companies such as, TUTS (Theater Under The Stars), Applause Theater, CCT, The Players Theater company and many more. Coming from a dance background she has also performed with ReFine Arts and Haven Arts Theatre. Caiya’s circus training began with Contortion and that led into Aerial. She took Circus Arts very seriously which then brought her to Boston MA, and New York NY. She has trained under coaches such as Bayarma Parry, Danielle Artis, Emily McFarlane and Marci Diamond. Caiya has performed Circus Arts for The Texas Renaissance Festival After Dark, Dickens on The Strand, Lights All Night festival, Tall Ships Galveston, A-Kon Dallas, George R. Brown Convention Center, Discovery Green, and many more.
She has been coaching circus arts since age 18 and continues to hone her teaching techniques to this day with over 15 weekly private students under Cai Performance Company. Caiya is beyond excited to be organizing this Circus Program for Future Stars of Houston and cannot wait to create Circus Art with its students!
Kayla Mason is a Houston native who received her bachelor degree in Performance and Production from the University of Texas (San Marcos). During her high school and early college years, she found a deep love for movement art and participated in dance recitals at Westfield High School. Her love for circus arts was sparked by her first Aerial jungle themed production of Jungle book at Lone Star Community College. Since then, Kayla has spent the past 4 years of her life training Aerial Silks, Lyra and Contortion at Axis Aerial Pole. She has taught at Cirque La Vie, and has been perfecting her skills with Cai Performance Company. Kayla is looking forward to creating a fun collaborative space with Future Stars of Houston.
Diana is a native Russian who moved to the USA in 2009 and has been living in Houston since 2015. She holds MS degree in Applied Math and is currently teaching Upper Elementary aged kids in one of the Houston’s public school.
Diana started her journey in Circus Arts more than 5 years ago by first taking Introductory level Contortion classes, than moving to Advanced level classes in various Aerial disciplines such as Trapeze, Silks, Lyra, and finally performing on stage. In order to enhance her experience in Aerials, she took private classes from Cirque Du Soleil artist/instructor.
Diana is a mother of two daughters age 6 and 9. She enjoys travelling and learning new languages.
Edward began training in gymnastics in his home country of Venezuela at the age of 16. He attended El Parque Miranda Gymnastics School and also began dance training with the prestigious Musa School of Dance. In 2015, his love for movement eventually brought him to the circus, where he began studying circus arts at the Zirkus Zone Circus School. Upon moving to Houston in 2016, he began attending classes and performing with Cirque La Vie. Edward has performed at Memorial City Mall, Champion Forest Baptist Church, Texas Renaissance Festival and many more.
Ichikara Valdez (DJ IV) is a DJ, producer and entrepreneur hailing from
Houston, TX. He has built a style, sound and brand unique to his
diverse international and cultural influences. Ichikara spent the duration of
his youth collecting records, developing an ear for soul,
funk, jazz, hip-hop and international grooves, while also producing for local
Collaborating with rising young talent and local legends, he’s contributed to
multiple releases throughout the city and country over the last decade. His
most current releases include 2018’s SMPL MNDS EP, released with
Atlanta Hip-hop artist Alex Faith, and his own premier single “Birdland,”
released at the top of 2019, as well as recent collaborations with Houston
artists Doeman (4015 Lamar EP, released March 1st, 2019) and renowned
Hip-hop/Jazz trumpeter Jawwaad Taylor under the moniker “GROID” (Laws
of Attraction EP, released March 15th, 2019). His most recent output is his
house and dance focused Ep, PLAIN,
released on Feb. 7th, 2020.
In 2014, Ichikara left his career as an English teacher to fully pursue his
passion for music; partnering with long time friends to form indie music
label, Killem Collective; which has gone on to produce multiple events
across Texas and the Southern US Coast. He has since toured
internationally as a Dj for the Soul Street Dance Co. and spun in multiple
popular venues throughout Texas and internationally. He is currently
preparing to tour Samoa, New Zealand and Niue in Spring 2020. He has
also been billed with such national artists as Thundercat, DJ Tony Touch,
AF the Naysayer, Jessie Reyez, The Pharcyde, Mannie Fresh, Dj Nobody
and Eureka the Butcher (Big Game Huntas) over the last 5 years.
(Ceddy B.) is an artist born and raised in Houston Texas who's known for
his street style of dance and ninja like flips. He's a full time dancer who has
over 13 years of performance experience and has toured extensively
throughout the U.S. and many other countries as a Diplomats of the United
States. He and (Soul Street) have some of the number one outreach
programs in the country. As a Result of this notoriety, they received a
Proclamation Date in Houston Texas “SOUL STREET DAY” every July 3rd.
Although self taught in dance, he’s been trained in Gymnastics for 10 plus
years under the guidance of Coach Wilma Smith. He has performed at
some of the most prestigious theaters and festivals worldwide with some of
Hip-Hop’s biggest musical acts. From 2008- 2016 he was a member of the
HOUSTON ROCKETS Launch Crew, the number 1 Entertainment crew in
the NBA. He was also a member of “SONKISS’D Dance Theater” Lead
instructor at the “ENSEMBLE THEATRE and is now Director of Soul Street
Dance Company. As of 2019 he is now touring with “MONSTER ENERGY”
entertainment. Dancing is his passion and with it he loves to create.
Roy Ramirez is a well-rounded b-boy, with skills including power moves,
blowups, footwork, uprock and toprock. He has won Red Bull battles in
Houston and throughout Texas. He is also a member of United B-Boys and
dances for the Houston Rockets.
Rock Williams, Co-founder and also known as Rock, is an outstanding
dancer and a highly energetic performer with 24 years of experience.
Through poppin’ n’ lockin’ and house footwork he can make you believe
that you are seeing impossible things. He has also traveled across the U.S.
and Europe as a principal dancer.
Houston based Soul Street Dance is one of the most dynamic premier dance companies in existence. Their technical and artistic skills, stagepresence and wit allow them to push the performance envelope to anamazing standard of excellence.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Carlos began his training at the age of 14 during his freshman year of high school. He was a cheerleader and tumbler for two years prior to his dancing at Texas Lonestar Cheer and North Shore High School. He began dancing at the age of 16 at North Harris Performing Arts, where he trained under the teachings of Amy Cain, Dawn Dipple, Matt Dipple and Jennifer Stricklin. Carlos remained at North Harris for 4 years training in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, Tap and Hip Hop. During this time, he also took classes from artist such as Wes Veldink and Dawn Scannel, former Head Mistress of the Houston Ballet. He has also trained in LA at the EDGE with various well know artists. In recent years, Carlos has performed with Refine Arts Dance Company and also in musical theatre productions with Stageworks Theatre, both in Houston.

Ksenia Kozhenkova is an art instructor, artist and a certified life coach specializing in self-empowerment and motivational coaching. Over the years Ksenia developed unique and creative techniques to help her clients overcome stress and improve their wellbeing. The RelaPainting course was created as an addition to her life coaching practice where her clients get to experience reaching their goals through a creative technique of painting. It helped so many people that with time it had developed into a separate course, that helps you connect to your higher self, release stress, and create the life you want through art.

Indigo is a freelance writer and performer from Houston, Texas.
She attended the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts
where she majored in theatre. She learned an array of acting
techniques and attended masterclasses from esteemed
performers across the globe.
She went on to attend Columbia University in New York,
where her focus shifted to Film and Media Studies.
Her studies took her all across the world and instilled
a passion for traveling and international storytelling.
Unsatisfied with the roles available to her in the film
industry, she began to write screenplays of her own.
Education and community growth has always been
an important component of her work. She has 8 years
of experience working with students to enrich their
creative talents. Indigo is excited to continue this
work at Future Stars of Houston
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Marwan is a multi-instrumentalist based in Houston, Texas. He is currently a senior at the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts where he is studying jazz bass. Marwan is a multi-faceted musician who is eager to teach guitar, bass, and drums. Marwan wants to help students hone their technical skill set and foster their own sound. He has been recognized nationally by the YoungArts Foundation three times, the International Blues Competition, the Skidmore Summer Jazz Institute in 2018, and he is the recipient of the 2020 Jason Moran Scholarship. He is excited to be a part of the Future Star family!
Chayla began training in various styles of dance at the age of 3. Aiming to become a well-rounded dancer, she studied ballet, hip-hop, contemporary, tap, and jazz. By age 10, she was already contributing choreography to group performances under the tutelage of her dance instructors. While attending Westside High School in Houston, Chayla was selected to join the school’s highly prestigious dance company, INERTIA. The company has won numerous national awards and has been featured in People magazine and on Good Morning America. Just before high school graduation, Chayla was chosen to join the WNBA’s Houston Comets Team NRG, a co-ed hip-hop dance team. This eventually led to 3 consecutive seasons as one of the NBA’s Houston Rockets Power Dancers. As a dancer, she performed at home games and also contributed choreography. Following her years as a dancer for the Houston Rockets, Chayla decided to move behind the scenes and become an assistant coach for the Houston Rockets Little Dippers. She assisted with preparing the youth dance team for Houston Rockets home games. Chayla continued to live her passion for dance with the Houston Rockets while attending Lonestar College (Cy-Fair), and then University of Houston as a psychology major. Realizing her true desire to work with young dancers, she went on to become a full-time dance coach. She traveled to various schools in the Houston area with a children’s fitness company, The Gym Station. Shortly after being hired, Chayla was promoted to become the director of the company’s dance department. Years later, she decided to move to Atlanta, Georgia and continued teaching dance with a similar mobile children’s program, Creative Movement and Dance. Miss Chayla looks forward to bringing out the best in your little dancer!
